Hook TV - Using iTunes

Using iTunes with Boilercast
  1. Open your browser and go to the BoilerCast Homepage.
  2. Click on the BoilerCast File Access link.
  3. You will be prompted for your Purdue username and password.
  4. iTunes will open on your computer and take you to the BoilerCast site.

  5. Locate your course and select subscribe.

  6. iTunes will check daily (by default, unless you have changed your iTunes podcast settings) for the latest podcast for your course. If a new course session is posted, it will be downloaded automatically. Alternatively, you can manually click the "Update" button to force iTunes to check for all the latest available recordings.
This procedure can be repeated to subscribe to multiple courses each semester.

Using iTunes with the Pharmacy system

  1. Right click over the "Add to iTunes" button. If you're using Internet Explorer, select "copy shortcut"; If you're using Firefox, select "Copy link location".

  2. Open iTunes® and from the dropdown menu, select advanced, then click "subscribe to podcast".

  3. Right click over the URL box and select "paste". Click OK. iTunes will automatically start downloading the podcast and will check once a day for updates.

Copying files to devices other than iPods

If you use a portable media player other than an iPod®, you may need to manually copy audio or video files to your device.  For Windows users, the default location for files downloaded by iTunes® is My Documents>My Music>iTunes>iTunes Music. Files downloaded from Boilercast will be located in the "Purdue University" folder.  Files downloaded from the School of Pharmacy's server will be located in the "Podcasts" folder.
